IHeartMedia Minneapolis Names Market President

St. Louis, Wichita and Springfield cluster also gets new regional programming manager

IHeartMedia Minneapolis says Jeff Tyler has been named market president for Minneapolis, and Tony Banks has been named regional programming manager for St. Louis, Wichita (Kansas) and Springfield (Illinois).

Tyler has more than 20 years of experience in the radio industry rooted in programming, sales and after years behind the microphone, across various formats and in cities around the Midwest, he became a general sales manager, while maintaining a daily talk show in 1993. In 1997 he was named GM for the six-station cluster at Capstar Broadcasting in Madison, Wis. In 2009, he joined iHeartMedia and added responsibilities to include the Milwaukee market. Tyler was elevated to regional market manager in 2012, overseeing the Madison and Milwaukee markets along with Grand Rapids/Muskegon, Mich., Eau Claire, Wis., and Rochester, Minn.

Tony Banks

As regional programming manager, Tony Banks will oversee all programming operations for the St. Louis, Wichita and Springfield stations. He will also continue to be part of iHeartMedia’s Talent Coaching Team under Dennis Clark. 

Banks most recently held this position for iHeartMedia, overseeing Fresno, Calif., Riverside-San Bernardino, Calif., Bakersfield, Calif., Monterey-Salinas, Calif., Modesto, Calif., and Stockton, Calif., as well as Las Vegas and Tucson, Ariz., markets. He also has experience in on-air and programming roles in Miami, New York and Providence, R.I.

IHeartMedia Minneapolis owns and operates KDWB(FM), KTCZ(FM), KEEY(FM), KFAN(FM), KTCN(AM) and KQQL(FM).
