IHeartMedia says Colleen Valkoun has been named market president for the Milwaukee and Madison, Wis., clusters, and iHeartMedia Dallas also announced that Charlie Wilkinson has been named market president.

Former Market President Deidre Richter, will join iHeartMedia’s National Sales team and will report to President of National Sales Jeff Howard. Richter will lead the South Central Connections Team.

“Having grown up in Milwaukee, graduated from UW-Madison and worked in both radio markets, I have strong ties to the communities and look forward to continuing the revenue and ratings success in both clusters,” said Valkoun.

In her new role, Valkoun will oversee the day-to-day operations for 12 stations in Madison and Milwaukee. She has been serving as interim market president for both markets and was promoted from within the company, where she previously served as vice president of sales for Milwaukee and Madison.

She came to iHeartMedia in April 2003 as the national sales manager for Milwaukee’s six-station cluster and later added Madison’s six-station cluster to her responsibilities. Her experience at iHeartMedia also includes past roles as Total Traffic Network director, general sales manager, regional account executive and Food and Beverage Category captain.

Wilkinson will oversee all aspects of the Dallas market’s six stations’ operations, including all station activities and events to help drive sales and achieve revenue targets. Wilkinson is a 16-year radio veteran, having spent the last five years as regional market president for iHeartMedia, overseeing the Charlotte and Raleigh markets. Along the way he spent 11 years in Houston as a general sales manager, station manager and general manager.

In other company news, KRRL(FM) of Los Angeles has also named Abdul “DJ A-OH” Hashem as its new assistant program director and on-air talent.

DJ A-OH will assist with all aspects of programming KRRL(FM), which launched last month. In addition, he has also served as an iHeartMedia Urban Brand Coordinator. He will join the station from WMIB(FM) Miami, where he has served as PD and on-air personality since October 2013. Prior to that, he was part of the programming team at WGCI(FM) in Chicago.
