Chris Peterson
iHeartRadio has filled two newly created positions, an internal announcement shared with the press said.
The announcement says Chris Peterson will hold the newly created senior vice president of Podcasting role and Beth Murphy has joined iHeartRadio to fill the newly created senior vice president of marketing position.
Peterson will oversee iHeartRadio’s overall podcast strategy by guiding content partnerships, advising the product team and working with sales to monetize podcast efforts, the announcement explained.
Peterson has previous stints at TuneIn as a content partnership manager working to expand the company’s footing in the podcast market, at The Blaze as the director of operations and at Premiere Networks as the director of affiliate relations.
Beth Murphy
Murphy will manage brand messaging in addition to optimizing user acquisition and retention. For overseeing the company’s overall music streaming and live digital radio strategy, Murphy will be working closely with iHeartRadio’s Chief Product Officer Chris Williams and Adam Denenberg, the chief technology officer.
Beth Murphy was previously at Deezer as the chief marketing officer and held the same position at Stitcher, as well, where she managed the company’s international marketing and b2b efforts for its music streaming brands.
