Clear Channel has announced acts expected for its iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Sept. 19–20.
Calling it the “legendary” event “that rewrites radio history each year,” Clear Channel released this list of artists for the main MGM Grand Hotel and Casino venue: Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Usher, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Mötley Crüe, Zac Brown Band, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Paramore, Iggy Azalea, Train, Eric Church, Lorde, Calvin Harris, Bastille and Steve Aoki. Plus, more could be added.
A second venue, the iHeartRadio Music Festival Village, set across the street at the Luxor, will feature: Iggy Azalea, Neon Trees, Kacey Musgraves, Childish Gambino, Magic!, The Pretty Reckless, Nico & Vinz, Lil Jon and others to be named later.
The broadcaster is working deals with a number of sponsors, including giving MasterCard holders early access to some tickets. Tickets officially go on sale to the public July 26.
It will be broadcast live on Clear Channel radio stations and stream on Yahoo! Screen. The CW Network will have a version as a two-night special Sept. 29–30.
