iHeart’s Peake Named to New Role in L.A.

Michael La Crosse will transition into an advisory role for West Division

John Peake has been named program director for iHeartMedia’s KOST(FM) and KBIG(FM) in Los Angeles.

As regional senior vice president of programming for iHeartMedia’s San Diego/Riverside region, he managed multiple formats including hot AC, classic rock, CHR, rhythm, news-talk and sports. Prior to that, Peake served as the operations manager for iHeartMedia Seattle and the show director for Premiere Networks’ “Johnjay & Rich” show. Prior to joining iHeartMedia in 2009, he was a PD in Houston and San Francisco and worked as the mission director for NRJ Radio Group in Paris.

The company also announced Michael La Crosse will transition into an advisory role that will include working on key projects in iHeartMedia’s West Division. iHeartMedia San Diego/Riverside will announce its new regional senior vice president of programming at a later date.

Also, iHeartMedia’s WMOV(FM) says Danny Meyers has been named the new program director and morning personality. He will oversee the on-air content and music programming, as well as broadcast the local morning show from Norfolk, Va. He can be heard with co-host Tricia weekday mornings 6–10 a.m.

Previously, Meyers hosted the morning show at WXLK(FM) in Roanoke, Va., for more than 10 years. Prior to that he served as the night personality at WPLJ(FM) in New York and was the assistant PD and music director for WQSX(FM) in Boston.
