Illbruck Acoustic has changed its name to Pinta Acoustic.
The company, based in Germany and with a subsidiary in the United States, said its products and management remain the same after the name change, part of a reorganization that dates to 2004 when Illbruck GmbH divested subsidiaries.
The word “pinta” refers to the founder’s association with high-performance sailing and the name of Willi Illbruck’s yacht. In 2002, Michael Illbruck’s racing team won the Volvo Challenge.
The company’s brands include Sonex panels.
