It’s a heavy-hitting week for news concerning audience research and the latest on in-car and mobile listening. Arbitron and Jacobs Media are combining efforts and co-locating their events this year in Baltimore. The Arbitron Client Conference begins this afternoon and Radio World is on-site.
The Arbitron event begins with speakers discussing radio and social media, digital radio measurement and cross-media measurement.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, Edison Research will present new findings from the “Road Ahead” in-car technology study and Bob Pittman, chief executive officer of Clear Channel Media Holdings is slated to keynote the conference.
The Jacobs Media Summit is Wednesday and among the speakers are “radio futurologist” James Cridland from the U.K. and Dr. Robert Groves of the U.S. Census Bureau. Groves will provide insight into how radio can better understand the changing demographics of the U.S.
Jacobs Media President Fred Jacobs will interview Brooke Gladstone, co-host of NPR’s “On The Media” about the impact of technology on journalism and broadcasting. Wednesday wraps with a roundtable discussing the future of radio.
