Jampro Antennas said it won more contracts for turnkey FM antenna systems as part of India’s construction of a shared infrastructure for 240 private FM stations.
Systems integrator Broadcast Consultants India Ltd., a government enterprise, chose the equipment. The manufacturer says its FM systems were picked for more than half of the common transmission structure build-outs.
The integrator chose model JADP cavity-backed FM broadband antenna systems for key high-power markets. The systems include multi-bay antennas, balanced combiners, patch panels and unitized switch frames, rigid transmission line and associated RF components.
The current phase includes high-power sites in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. In total, Jampro said it will have equipment at more than 100 FM stations in the rollout.
