Yangaroo — the former Musicrypt — announced a partnership with INDIE911.
The latter firm is an independent music distributor. The companies said the deal lets its artists and labels send music and promotional materials to radio stations using Yangaroo’s Digital Media Distribution System, rather than using traditional CD mailings.
“This will provide their independent artists and labels with the ability to reach radio stations the same way as major labels, in a secure, cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner,” according to a Yangaroo announcement.
Artists can choose radio format “packages” and send their music, bios, pictures and other promo materials to the desktops of radio programmers.
