Indonesia-based JDFI radio broadcasting company has opted for equipment from WinMedia to streamline its daily operations.
The broadcaster selected the WinMedia Radio automation system and WinMedia BIZZ scalable traffic and billing solution for Delta FM and Prambors FM in Jakarta, and their seven regional locations — Bandung, Jogjakarta, Medan, Makassar, Semarang, Surabaya and Solo.
WinMedia Radio is built on the WinMedia MAM platform, which manages all media files and their metadata. JDFI uses WinMedia Radio for media management operations such as ingest, logging, recording, production, music scheduling, broadcast and Internet distribution, says the firm.
The WinMedia Radio installation for Delta FM and Prambors FM includes two production workstations and 12 WinMedia on-air workstations in the broadcast studios. WinMedia Radio maintains a centralized MAM content catalog that manages all programs and associated data while modular task-specific tools streamline production and distribution.
“We needed to ensure our return on investment with a reliable system that would immediately deliver efficiencies and also allow us to increase our output with the possibility to expand in the future,” said Bob Henry, JDFI technical director.
“WinMedia provides a complete, end-to-end solution, from production through broadcast. From the operator’s perspective, WinMedia tools are very easy to use because they are fully integrated and our workflow is simplified,” he said. “Equally important is WinMedia BIZZ, which allows us to streamline our traffic and billing operations by providing real-time online booking, tailor-made customer relationship management and a wide range of scheduling, billing and reporting options.”
