Inergize Offers Mobile Local News for iPhone

App and Service Package Offer Path to Mobile Eyes and Ears

Inergize Digital, a Web service company, and DoApp, an applications provider, have teamed up to create Mobile Local News, a service for iPhones and iPod Touch mobile devices.

For iPhone and iPod users, Mobile Local News appears as an aggregation site that can include news, weather, sports, entertainment, video, audio — anything a traditional Web portal site could offer. For local broadcasters using the Mobile Local News platform it can be branded for a station and the content is controlled by the station.

Advertising, especially local clients, is solicited by the station (or cluster) but can be supplemented by national contracts negotiated by Inergize.

Inergize provides the Web service, DoApp provides the free client app on the mobile device.

Inergize Senior Vice President and GM Jason Gould said: “Media companies leveraging Mobile Local News can reach consumers anywhere, at any time through their iPhone and iPod Touch Mobile devices, providing monetization of consumer requested content through mobile advertising.”
