Fifty-three percent of consumers owned a smartphone in 2013, compared to 44% the prior year.
That’s according to the latest Infinite Dial report from Edison Research and Triton Digital. They project that ownership will grow to approximately 61% of U.S. consumers this year.
The companies surveyed 2,023 persons on their use of digital platforms and new media.
They planned to present results of that survey today in a webinar. Edison and Triton promise to reveal new data on iTunes Radio, Beats Music, podcasting growth and in-car use of digital media.
