Infinity Has New President of Programming

Infinity Broadcasting’s recently appointed senior vice president of programming Steve Rivers has been named president of programming, effective immediately. He replaces Andy Schuon, who resigned.
Rivers joined Infinity in 2003. Prior to that, he had been president and CEO of Power Media. Other career highlights include radio editor and founding partner of MusicBiz, and president and founding partner of Radio Central.
As president of programming, Rivers will work with local stations on programming strategies, group-wide initiatives, research and talent development.
Asked about reports that Schuon was asked to step down, a source at Infinity said simply, “He resigned on Tuesday (Jan. 27). That’s what everyone here at Infinity was told.”
