Ibiquity Digital has a branch in Detroit to foster relationships with automakers for its HD Radio technology; now Infinity Broadcasting is establishing a similar base there.
Infinity named marketing veteran Bill Shea as vice president of automotive marketing, a new position for the broadcast group. Shea will report to Rich Lobel, EVP of Infinity Solutions and Beyond.
His job will be to link the auto world with Infinity stations by developing marketing programs for the automotive industry. His background includes stints as a marketer for Chrysler-Plymouth and Dodge, ultimately rising to SVP, managing account director for Chrysler and Jeep Retail Communications and Operations for advertising group BBDO.
