Infinity Pitches Stern to Blue-Chip Advertisers

Infinity is going after a new kind of advertiser for Howard Stern’s show. The Wall Street Journal says the broadcast group is pitching Stern to mainstream advertisers.
In a print ad running in trades and other publications, Infinity states: “Most of Howard’s listeners are affluent, well-educated professionals. It’s an incredibly loyal following that has attracted a host of major blue-chip advertisers.”
Infinity is telling media buyers that Stern’s program reaches 3.9 million listeners a day, according to the WSJ. The print ad shows a woman’s face divided in half, with half covered by a leather mask and the other half in a cosmetic cream.
Stern made news earlier this week when he delivered a diatribe on the air against recent FCC’s actions on indecency.
