America Online is debuting two big Infinity stations to its Internet “radio” services, Radio@AOL and Radio@AOL for Broadband.
WCBS(FM) in New York and WUSN(FM) in Chicago will be available for an online audience on AOL.
In the coming weeks, AOL will follow up those launches with three additional stations, KTWV(FM) in Los Angeles, WPGC(FM) in Washington and WXRT(FM) in Chicago.
“This is a great win for our members,” stated Jim Van Huysse, general manager of the AOL Radio Network. “Infinity represents many of the most popular and recognizable stations in the country, across all formats. the addition of their leading oldies and country stations, along with the upcoming launches of top smooth jazz, urban and rock stations, from across the country provide a perfect compliment to our wide-range of best-of-breed radio programming.
Radio@AOL and Radio@AOL for Broadband are AOL’s Internet radio services under the AOL Radio@ Network, which also includes Radio@Netscape.
