Keith Cornwell was named vice president and general manager of Infinity Broadcasting’s two music stations in Charlotte, N.C., WNKS(FM) and WKQC(FM). The appointment is effective Jan. 3. He will continue in his role as director of sales for the Charlotte cluster, which also includes WBAV(FM), WPEG(FM), WSOC(FM), WFNZ(AM) and WFNA(AM).
Cornwell joined the company WNKS in 1997 as general sales manager and was later promoted in 2003 to his current position with the station. The Western Carolina University graduate began his radio career in 1992 with former EZ Communications’ WMXC(FM).
