Infographic: The Power of Sports Radio

CBS says it now has 300 affiliates for its nine-month-old sports venture

Sports is all the rage in programming circles, and CBS today put out an infographic, below, that seeks to encapsulate that. Click the image to enlarge.

It did so while noting that it has reached 300 affiliates for CBS Sports Radio, which launched about nine months ago. Chris Oliviero, senior VP of programming for CBS Radio, called that a significant milestone. CBS said the venture can now be heard in the top 10, and 35 of the top 50, U.S. markets. It’s a content partnership between CBS Radio and CBS Sports. Cumulus Media Networks handles affiliate sales and syndication.
