Sales and marketing company Interep said it has developed an EDI system that allows electronic reconciling of invoices and affidavits. It calls it the first national spot radio Web-based electronic invoicing and verification system.
It actually is a second generation of its RadioExchange product. The company said it will cut down the time spent on the “backroom” work, provides greater accountability to clients and expedites payments to stations.
President Marc Guild said the system addresses two impediments facing the radio industry: processing difficulties and accountability.
The new version of RadioExchange is in limited release. Beta testing is underway between Entercom radio properties and Carat USA in New York. A rollout to agencies and groups is expected later this year.
Interep is the parent of ABC Radio Sales, Allied Radio Partners, Cumulus Radio Sales, D&R Radio, Infinity Radio Sales, McGavren Guild Radio, MG/Susquehanna, SBS/Interep and Interep Interactive.
