The International Radio Festival is picking up its roots and is on the move. After six years of hosting the festival from Zurich, IRF will hold its 2016 event at Expo City in Milan, Italy.
IRF will collaborate with Radio City Milan to present a public on-air radio festival at the Piazza Gae Aulenti, around the UniCredit pavilion. Festival organizers say the event will play host to more than 20 international and 50 Italian radio stations that will broadcast live to their home cities.
In addition, the IRF has announced that it is working on creating an American edition that would take place in Nashville, Tenn., a Middle East edition in Dubai, and a South East Asia edition in Shanghai.
The 2016 International Radio Festival in Milan will take place from April 7-10, 2016.
