Separately, NAB reminded that the deadline is Dec. 3 for its Second Annual NABEF Engineering Internship Program.
Sponsored by the NAB Education Foundation, the paid internship program “is designed to reinforce the broadcast industry’s diversity efforts by increasing the number of women and people of color entering the broadcast engineering field.”
The organization encourages college seniors and recent college graduates who have interest in working with digital audio and video, computer technology, broadcast technology, electronics, HD Radio or HDTV to apply. Ten students or recent graduates will be chosen by NABEF to receive an eight-week paid internship in engineering and technology at a radio or TV station next summer; they will have the opportunity to become a certified Broadcast Technologist by taking the SBE exam.
Interns will also attend the 2008 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
