Digital Juke Box says it has created a software system that will allow radio stations and air talent to create their own satellite music formats including legal IDs, spots, liners and stopsets to be fired at the station level.
The InterSatReceiver, or “Internet Satellite Receiver,” receives CD-quality audio and control signals over the Internet and plays back by the InterSatReceiver software on a Windows XP computer. If a station loses its Internet connection, it plays music from the local hard drive on that station until the Internet connection is reestablished. The company says the computer plays all scheduled spots as well as liners and the legal ID when called for.
