Introducing NAB Show New York

NAB rebrands CCW to reflect event’s expanded focus

The National Association of Broadcasters has changed the name of its New York City-based Content & Communications World show. The event, which is currently being held at the Javits Convention Center, will be known as “NAB Show New York” going forward.

The new logo and tagline — “The Essence of NAB. The Power of NYC” — was presented by NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith today. He said “The goal for the new brand is to enhance the experience for all attendees while making the event unique to New York — a mecca for the media and entertainment community.”

NAB Show New York is intended to enable attendees to experience a more intimate and focused setting than its Las Vegas counterpart, while the locale offers global access as well as easy access for the East Coast region of the U.S.

“We intend to retain many of the features that have contributed to CCW’s success, such as accessibility, community, and the ability to efficiently get business done,” NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown explained. “The new brand, however, will allow us to leverage the strength, leadership and content connections of NAB Show and take it to a new level by offering more innovative programming, attracting new markets and driving deeper engagement among attendees and exhibitors.”
