Is Traffic Getting Worse?

Traffic Directors Guild explores impact of new media demands in its latest software survey

If you live in the world of DeltaFlex, Marketron, VT, OSi, Paradigm and so on, this item’s for you.

The Traffic Directors Guild of America is interested in how HD Radio channels, streaming, Web ads and other outlets are driving additional ads or versions of ads into broadcast stations’ traffic flow and the impact on traffic department personnel.

The TDGA is conducting its annual “Software Satisfaction” survey of traffic software used by members and non-members. The impact of these newer outlets is among the topics it is exploring.

CEO Larry Keene said: “The policy of our non-union ‘guild’ of traffic professionals adopted a product-neutral position 10 years ago, but we seek out users of the 30 or more traffic software systems once each year and ask actual users of the products to rate their satisfaction on support response, advanced features to meet changing technology needs of radio and TV stations, networks and streamers.”

TDGA plans to release the findings in January.

The announcement includes info about how to participate.
