Motorists listening to DAB digital radio in the South Tyrol of Italy have little fear of losing signal, as public broadcaster RAS has indicated that as many as 12 tunnels in the Bolzano province offer the ability to listen to radio without interruption. This allows listeners to tune in to Italy’s more than 70 national programs on DAB radio.
“It is very important to ensure continuous listening in the gallery of all the available radio services,” said Georg Plattner, RAS director.
“It’s a fundamental guarantee of the security service in case of accidents and emergencies that allows the civil defense to immediately alert motorists, service offered by digital technology DAB+.”
