Mobile apps developer jacAPPS, part of the Jacobs Media empire, has announced that Kate Levy will lead its mobile apps development. JacAPPS develops apps for a range of clients including radio stations.
Before joining jacAPPS in 2011, Levy was a developer and software engineer for GoKnow, a software company in Ann Arbor, Mich. Levy graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003, double majoring in Computer Science and English Literature.
Paul Jacobs, VP and GM of jacAPPS, said of Levy, “She’s not only got terrific development skills, but she truly understands the strategy behind what an app should provide to the end user.”
He added, “Plus, she’s a huge Detroit Tigers fan, so she fits right into the mentality of our company.”
