Jazz Artist Wynton Marsalis Performs at XM

XM Satellite Radio inaugurated its performance studio, an addition to its digital broadcast complex in Washington, with a concert by Jazz musician Wynton Marsalis.
“Let the word go out: XM is America’s home for live music,” said XM President/CEO Hugh Panero.
Marsalis officially joined the XM artists’ family a year ago in May 2001,
embarking on a multi-year partnership to help build and promote XM’s service. Each year, Marsalis hosts “Swing Seat,” a series of musical specials chronicling his career, influences and own tastes in music, which air on XM’s jazz channels. He also acts as a creative consultant to XM’s jazz programming team.
