Jazz Talent Davis, Anthony Join Sirius

Jazz artists Les Davis and Paul Anthony have joined the Sirius on-air staff on jazz music
stream Pure Jazz (stream 72). Davis is the former host of “Make Believe Ballroom” on WNEW(AM), New York. He’s also known for his work for former New York jazz radio stations WRVR(FM) and WYNY(FM). Davis has recently been heard on JOTU-FM/Y84/FM Yokohama, Japan.
Anthony is a jazz music specialist whose syndicated “Jazz Unlimited” program, produced in Washington, has been on radio for more than 40 years. He helped develop and hosted National Public Radio’s “Jazz Alive” program, and programmed and hosted an all-jazz music format for WRC(FM) and WGMS(FM) in Washington. Metropolitan New York radio listeners also know Anthony as the current voice of 1010 WINS News
Radio.
Pure Jazz is Sirius’ classic jazz music stream, one of six jazz music streams in its programming lineup.
The announcement of Davis and Anthony was made to attendees of the International Association of Jazz Educators Convention visiting Sirius New York City headquarters and studios.
