Jeff Joseph Returns to CEA

Association names new SVP of communications and strategic relationships

Jeff Joseph has returned to the Consumer Electronics Association in a broader capacity.

Joseph was CEA’s vice president of communications from August 1998 through March 2006. He’s returning Aug. 23 as senior vice president of communications and strategic relationships.

CEA President/CEO Gary Shapiro said Joseph had shaped “the ‘can do’ culture of CEA as it became a strong, independent entity and a leading voice in Washington.”

Joseph has been vice president of communications for the Biotechnology Industry Organization since 2006. At BIO, Joseph developed and implemented strategic communications and media outreach campaigns to support BIO’s public policy advocacy agenda and develop a brand the biotechnology industry.

As senior vice president of industry affairs, Jason Oxman had filled a portion of Joseph’s role at CEA. Oxman left in May to become chief executive officer the Electronics Transactions Association.
