After eight years with the Consumer Electronics Association, Vice President of Communications and Strategic Relations Jeff Joseph will leave effective Aug. 30 to go to the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
At CEA, Joseph managed the communications department, served as spokesperson on numerous issues and was responsible for CEA’s media and public affairs strategies. During his tenure, CEA President/CEO Gary Shapiro credited Joseph for building upon a successful communications team and said Joseph has been instrumental in many of the most hotly debated technology issues in decades, including the transition to digital television, intellectual property and environmental policy. Joseph has driven media attendance, participation and coverage of the International CES to new levels, stated Shapiro.
