Philadelphia music stations WPST(FM) and WYSP(FM) have decided to put a little Jelli on their programming bread.
Jelli — “100% user-controlled radio” — is a social media/station playlist automation hybrid whereby listeners strongly and immediately influence playlist selection via computer or mobile device.
WPST, a pop hits station owned by Nassau Broadcasting, will be using Jelli nightly from 10 p.m. until midnight and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
WYSP is a CBS-owned classic rocker that had been using Jelli’s national program on Monday nights. It has now adopted a weeknightly localized version from 7 p.m. to midnight. A local host will keep things moving Philly-style.
