Jim Carnegie Dies, Age 66

Founded Radio Business Report

Longtime broadcast trade publisher Jim Carnegie has died, according the website of his former publications.

He and his late wife Cathy founded Radio Business Report in 1983 and were long associated with the brand. Thirty years later Carnegie sold RBR and its sibling Television Business Report to Eric Rhoads’ Streamline Publishing, which also owns Radio Ink.

Cathy Carnegie died in 2011. While some thought that her passing had prompted the sale, Carnegie said at the time that it had been in the works for some time prior to her death.

Radio+Television Business Report writes that Carnegie was 66 and died of natural causes.
