‘Joe Show’ to Air From Space

Coming to you from high atop the Earth …

Orbiting DJs have been the fantasies of science fiction TV (e.g. “Dr. Who”) and films (e.g. “Firefly,” “The Fifth Element”) but in reality DJs have been Earthbound.

Until Friday, that is!

On Aug. 3 NASA astronaut Joe Acaba will helm the “Joe Show,” live on Third Rock Radio from 240 miles in the sky on the International Space Station. He starts spinning the wax (or whatever super-advanced space technology he’ll be using) at 4 p.m. EDT, for two hours.

Third Rock Radio is an Internet radio station that works with NASA to promote science interest and education. It was created by RFC Media, a customized audio production house based in Houston.
