Jon Kirchner Headlining 2016 Radio Show Luncheon

The DTS CEO will speak alongside NAB’s CEO Gordon Smith

Jon Kirchner, CEO and chairman of media technology developer DTS, will be keynoting alongside NAB’s CEO, Gordon Smith, at the 2016 Radio Show Luncheon. The two will focus on the radio industry’s local and global impact, as well as its future.

Kirchner, who has been CEO of DTS since 2001 and chairman and CEO since 2010, has expanded the company from a small startup to a global enterprise. In 2015, DTS acquired the developer and licensor of HD Radio, iBiquity Digital Corp. DTS caters to the cinema, home, mobile and automotive markets.

“We look forward to hearing his global perspective on growth opportunities he sees for radio in the car, smartphone and home,” said John David, NAB executive vice president.

Kirchner’s work has not gone unnoticed. In 2011, for his contributions to the digital entertainment industry he received the Digital 25: Leaders in Emerging Entertainment Award from the Producers Guild of America and Variety. In 2012, he received the Ernst & Young Technology Entrepreneur of The Year Award for Greater Los Angeles.

The 2016 Radio Show Luncheon will be held Sept. 21. The 2016 Radio Show itself runs from September 21–23 at the Omni Nashville Hotel.
