Journal Broadcast Chooses Harris as New Operations Manager

Journal Broadcast Group has added Ron Harris to its Boise, Idaho, operations as the new operation manager for its radio division. Harris will oversee KTHI(FM), KRVB(FM), KQXR(FM) and KJOT(FM).

Harris has more than 25 years of broadcasting experience and most recently was the operations manager in Tri-Cities, Wash. Prior to that he was director of operations for Clear Channel at their Yakima, Wash., cluster. He also worked as on-air talent in Seattle at KNDD(FM) and KBSG(FM), and national format manager for broadcast programming in Seattle for seven years.

Harris graduated from Clover Park College in Tacoma, Wash., and was a part-time instructor for the campus radio broadcasting program.

Natalie Randall will join the Journal Broadcast Group-Springfield operations as the new program director for Power 96.5 KSPW(FM), effective August 19.

Randall was brand manager from 2008 to 2012 and on air middays and afternoons in 2012 to present at WMGI(FM) in Terre Haute, Ind. Prior to that, she was music director for WFBC(FM) in Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C. She has also worked as a morning drive show co-host on KIZS(FM) in Tulsa, Okla., and evening on-air talent for WBQB(FM) in Fredericksburg, Va.

Journal Broadcast Group’s Springfield cluster also includes KSGF (AM/FM), KTTS(FM) and KRVI(FM).
