Jury Tapped to Lead HD Radio Under New Ownership

Struble will step into advisory role for DTS in January

Former iBiquity Digital Chief Operating Officer Jeff Jury has been named as DTS’ new general manager for automotive and HD Radio, according to a news release from the company. Former iBiquity Digital Corp. CEO Bob Struble will also move into an advisory position next month.

“During the integration process, we’ve worked to position the combined DTS and HD Radio business for continued growth and success,” Struble said in the release. “It became clear that the role and leadership requirements of the HD Radio business going forward were not the best match with my skill set and aspirations, and that I can best serve DTS as an adviser. I’m thrilled that Jeff Jury, my longtime partner in building iBiquity, will assume responsibility for leading the HD Radio business. I look forward to supporting Jeff and the DTS team as we move forward.”

Jury has been with iBiquity since 1997, according to his management profile on the iBiquity website. Prior to that, he served as vice president for digital broadcasting and director of strategic development for Westinghouse Wireless Solutions Co., and he also held positions at Westinghouse Electric Corp. focusing on business development, strategic analysis and operational performance improvement. He has also worked on operational improvement planning with Touche Ross & Co. and software development with American Management Systems.

Calabasas, Calif.-based DTS acquired the HD Radio technology developer in October 2015. To learn more about the company’s plans for its expansion into the radio space, read DTS Chairman and CEO Jon Kirchner’s commentary from the Dec. 2 issue of RW.
