In the flurry of earlier news from CES, I neglected to note that JVC plans to release its second-generation HD Radio CD Receiver, the KD-HDR1, in March.

In the flurry of earlier news from CES, I neglected to note that JVC plans to release its second-generation HD Radio CD Receiver, the KD-HDR1, in March.

This unit features a built-in multicast capable HD Radio tuner, is satellite radio-ready, and Ready for iPod. That means the receiver allows iPod connection, recharging and information display using JVC’s KS-PD100 adapter.

The KD-HDR1 features JVC’s new user interface, which mimics the iPod’s click wheel with search and playback functions. Users can boost or cut the level by up to 10 dB on each of seven bands (60, 150, 400 Hz, 1, 2.4, 6 and 15 kHz) to customize the response according to a car’s acoustic environment, says JVC.

The KD-HDR1 will list for $299.95.
