ABC News Radio correspondents Aaron Katersky and Peter Jennings and will report from Iraq for a week-long retrospective on the first anniversary of the war. Peter Jennings will anchor his daily radio newscast while Aaron Katersky will anchor a one-hour special, “IRAQ: Where Things Stand,” and provide continuing coverage throughout the week, to mark the March 19 anniversary of the conflict.
In Iraq, Jennings and Katersky will meet with soldiers, emerging leaders of the new nation, and Iraqi citizens. “IRAQ: Where Things Stand” will be broadcast Thursday at 7:06 p.m.
“The challenges and progress in Iraq is a continuing and unfolding story,” said Steve Jones, vice president and general manager of ABC News Radio. Jennings is an experienced Middle East reporter and Radio World readers may remember Katersky as one of the embedded reporters who told us about their Iraq experience.
