Kathrein-Scala Pattern Library Adds New Feature

Kathrein-Scala says registered users of its Radiation Pattern Library should notice a new subdirectory added to the root: RET_Downloads. The directory was established to allow users of Kathrein’s Remote Electrical Downtilt System to obtain online the latest firmware for its Central Control Unit.
The firmware for the CCU is the basic software that controls, via an Internet browser, the ability of an operator to adjust from remote locations, downtilt and other parameters of the company’s antenna systems. Performance-enhancing updates are released periodically by Kathrein, offering RET system users the same functionality of CCUs.
Access is automatic for registered users. Log onto the Pattern and Download Library in the normal fashion; the new directory will appear along with the Archival Patterns and Current Patterns directories.
Presently, the directory contains a single self-extracting compressed file with two firmware files, detailed instructions and the current version of Kathrein’s RET hardware manual.
