Radio Bonners Ferry, Inc., licensee of Station KBFI(AM), Bonners Ferry, Idaho was not as lucky as Kaspar Broadcasting with its $5,600 fine for failing to keep its tower within an effective locked fence or other enclosure. In 2002, a field agent notice KBFI’s tower leaning and the gate could not be closed nor locked. Bonners Ferry cited an inability to pay. The commission did reduce the penalty, which was originally $7,000.
