KCRW Has Podcast Sponsor

A big public radio station in California is reporting success at attracting a sponsor for its podcasts.
KCRW in Santa Monica said Southern California Lexus Dealers committed to a 26-week sponsorship that begins at the end of October.
The station began free podcasts in March. In its marketing, the station positions itself as an early adopter of digital technologies.
“Since March 1, the average number of podcasts downloaded per week was 25,000. During the first week of June, 2005 the number leaped to 75,000,” it stated.
