Pittsburgh’s KDKA(AM) has announced that it raised $318,000 during its fifth annual Warmathon this week, Feb. 7–8.
Run in conjunction with the Dollar Energy Fund, the Warmathon raises money to help pay utility bills for over 900 Pittsburgh area families. Local utilities such as Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Duquesne Light, Equitable Gas and West Penn Power, participate along with other sponsors, including Citizens Bank and Range Resources.
Cindy Datig, chief executive officer of Dollar Energy Fund said, “Every year, we are grateful for the outpouring of support we receive as the community comes together to help its neighbors in need.”
