KDLS(FM) has flipped the switch on a new Harris transmitter.
The commercial station, owned by Latin Broadcasting Co. and heard in the greater Des Moines, Iowa, region, has a ZX3750. KDLS operates at 3 kW TPO and broadcasts the only Spanish language-format program in central Iowa, Harris said.
SCMS Inc. made the sale and shipped the transmitter on short notice to replace an aging transmitter that had become unreliable, according to Harris. The dealer shipped the transmitter from its existing stock. SCMS also delivered an on-air processor and installation materials.
KDLS is operating the ZX3750 in FM-mode only.
