Kensington Digital Media Buys in Tennessee

EMF buys in Indiana

Recent station sales news has crossed the Radio World sales desk.

In Gallatin, Tenn., Kensington Digital Media bought WHIN(AM) and an FM translator (W264CR) from WHIN Inc. New owner Tony Richards promised to keep a local focus for the station. Kensington also owns WHPY(FM) to the south in Nashville.

In Indiana the Educational Media Foundation continues its buying spree with the acquisition of WFRW(FM) in Battle Ground. The seller was Christian Radio Friends and the price was $300,000. Greg Guy of Patrick Communications was the broker.

For the historically-oriented, Battle Ground is somewhat responsible for the phrase, “Tippecanoe and Tyler, too,” as the Battle of Tippecanoe was close by.

In another announcement from Patrick Communications, W293BL-FX in Saranac Lake, N.Y., was purchased for $45,000 by Saga Communications from Saranac lake Radio. Jason James was the broker.
