Kerouac: On the Radio

Sue Zizza's company makes hour-long audio play available free to public stations

Suitable for those stations that prefer their “beat” to be the Beat Generation, “Jack’s Last Call: Say Goodbye to Kerouac” is now available free to public radio stations.

The one-hour (as in 59-minute) play features Tony Award-winning actor Len Cariou and was recorded in part at one of Kerouac’s favorite drinking establishments, Gunther’s Tap Room on Long Island. The play was written by Patrick Fenton and adapted and directed by Sue Zizza and produced by her company, SueMedia.

The play is set on Long Island and takes place in August of 1964, during Kerouac’s last night on Long Island

It recently won the Audio Drama of the Year from the Audio Publishers Association, the audio book and spoken word industry group.
