Dutch transmission infrastructure company KPN has contracted with RadioScape to replace the Eureka-147 digital radio encoding/multiplex system used by the Dutch public broadcasting system.
The new system supports a probable future move to DAB+ broadcasts.
As RadioScape incorporates IP technology, the company said KPN will have the option to place the encoders at the multiplex or at remote studio sties.

The project will create 30 DAB/DAB+ audio channels, multimedia channels and data services ahead of the Summer Olympic Games.
