KPN Calls on RadioScape for DAB Encoding

New encoder will support future upgrade of Dutch public broadcasting network to DAB+

Dutch transmission infrastructure company KPN has contracted with RadioScape to replace the Eureka-147 digital radio encoding/multiplex system used by the Dutch public broadcasting system.

The new system supports a probable future move to DAB+ broadcasts.

As RadioScape incorporates IP technology, the company said KPN will have the option to place the encoders at the multiplex or at remote studio sties.
