Kruser Cruises at Cumulus Lexington

Randy Savage will serve as ops manager of Wilkes Barre/Scranton

Dave “Kruser” Krusenklaus

Cumulus Media has promoted WVLK(AM) on-air personality Dave “Kruser” Krusenklaus to program director for the station. He replaces Scott Johnson, who assumes a new role as news director for WVLK and the Cumulus Lexington cluster.

Kruser will also move from middays to host afternoon drive at WVLK, a station with which he has been affiliated since 1999. He has also worked as a program director and morning host in both Rock and Classic Hits formats.

Randy Savage

The company has also tapped Randy Savage — AKA Bruce Murry — to serve as operations manager of its five-station cluster in Wilkes Barre/Scranton, Pa.; he will also be program director and afternoon drive host for WSJR(FM).

Savage joins Cumulus Media following a 20-year career with Renda Broadcasting of southwest Florida in Fort Myers/Naples, Fla., where he was PD of WWGR(FM) and WJGO(FM), WSGL(FM) and WGUF(FM).

Cumulus Media has 450 owned-and-operated stations broadcasting, more than 8,200 broadcast radio stations affiliated with its Westwood One network and numerous digital channels.
