L.A. Revenue Up 3.4%

L.A. radio again took in more than $1 billion in revenue last year.
The Southern California Broadcasters Association says the Los Angeles Metro Radio market, which includes Los Angeles and Orange Counties, has 59 commercial stations that aired $1.080 billion in advertising in 2005. That’s up by 3.4% over 2004, which the association says is ahead of the national average for radio of 1% growth.
The group also said that, compared to newspaper and spot TV, radio was the only local medium to post revenue gains for 2005.
