Larkin Is New EVP of Total Traffic and Weather Network

Clear Channel DC adds Chiet for integrated marketing

Gary Larkin has joined Clear Channel Media and Entertainment as executive vice president of Total Traffic and Weather Network. He will report to Chairman and CEO John Hogan.

In his new role, Larkin will oversee all sales operations for Total Traffic and Weather Network, developing strategic plans for partners and advertisers by leveraging its network which reaches more than 98% of all commuters in the U.S. each week, a release said. He will work closely with Clear Channel’s Market Presidents and Local Sales Managers across the country as well as the National Sales, Marketing and Partnerships team to incorporate the Total Traffic and Weather Network’s platform into integrated and high-impact packages, the release said. In addition, Larkin will also help with the design and development of the Total Traffic Network digital traffic app.

Larkin has experience in both digital media and sales. He spent a portion of his career at Fox Sports Media Group, where he served as senior vice president of digital sales. Larkin also previously served as senior director of sales for the Eastern region at MSN, where he developed and led the regional sales team. His quarter century of industry experience also includes senior sales roles at CBS Interactive Media and Appssavvy.

Cliff Chiet

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Washington has selected Cliff Chiet to serve as its chief integrated marketing director.

In this position, he will develop advertising and marketing strategies for clients to leverage Clear Channel Washington’s assets including WASH(FM), WBIG(FM), WMZQ(FM), WIHT(FM), WWDC(FM), iHeartRadio and Total Traffic Network.

Chiet is a local publishing and advertising veteran who spent most of the last 18 years as a vice president of sales and publisher at Post-Newsweek Media, a division of The Washington Post Co.
