Lawo Meeting Hit With Engineers

A two-day seminar held late June by German console and matrix system manufacturer Lawo attracted sound engineers from across Europe.

A two-day seminar held late June by German console and matrix system manufacturer Lawo attracted sound engineers from across Europe. Some 30 participants and lectures assembled in Rastatt, Germany, for the mc²66 User Meeting, which involved both lectures and hands-on training.

In addition to discussions on forthcoming mc² version 1.8 and version 1.10 software releases and the Lawo-developed plug-in integration feature, the second edition of the mc²66 User Meeting focused on the technical details and practical application of A-to-D converters.

“With that information about the new mc² releases, I can now work on the conceptual design of our new radio OB van,” said Matthias Eberhardt of German public broadcaster Südwestrundfunk (SWR).

The event also included a tour of Lawo headquarters followed by a party and, on day two, a feedback session for Lawo mc²66 users.

“We had the opportunity to apply our new-found knowledge in practical sessions, which gave a perfect learning effect. I was most impressed by the serious effort made by Lawo to optimize its products by including the input of users in this process,” said Reinhold Nickel of Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR).
